The last entry of 2006 and it's about blowing up squirrels. The Boy has squirrels in his attic (no, that's not a euphemism for insanity) and they are apparently destroying it. So he and DC get the bright idea to throw lit firecrackers into the attic to scare the squirrels out. One threw them (DC) and one was outside to watch the mass squirrel exodus (the Boy). They ran out when the Boy shined a flashlight up there first so the firecrackers were overkill.
The more I think about it, the funnier it gets. It wouldn't have been funny to make a trip to the ER, which is why I didn't laugh when they were doing it. However, it's *hilarious* now and I'll be telling everyone at the party tonight. We have champagne and MadDog 20/20 for tonight. MadDog will take the enamel off your teeth. Happy New Year indeed.
2006 was a definite improvement over 2005, which was a definite improvement over 2004. I'm liking the trend here. 2007 is already filling up with stuff...such as the Field Trip to the local dungeon in 2 weeks, our yearly Valentine's Day Japanese steakhouse trip, the TNAST convention in March, possibly going to D.C. for Easter, our wedding anniversary trip in June, and the Dallas Bash trip in August. Wow.
What a fantastic life it is to be able to say every year is better than the preceding year.
