The more cases I do, the more comfortable I get, and the more excited I am to go to work. I did a radical nephrectomy today and the charge nurse came up to me while I was scrubbing and said "Are you going to be OK on this case? I know you've not done one before but you do know the doctors.". I said "Oh, hell, yes" before I even thought about it and then apologized for swearing at her. Whoops. Ortho and CV make me uncomfortable because I still haven't done enough of those kinds of cases, but everything else is starting to be cake. YAY!
This was the first time in a long time I wasn't home to pass out Halloween candy. Feh.
