Tuesday, 09/05/2006 - 10:49 p.m. I spent 5 and half hours tonight on a fem-tib bypass to save our patient's foot. We harvested and stripped vein, did the bypass, and watched the patient's necrotic and purple foot turn pink and get warm. Our surgeon said (around hour 3) that cardiovascular surgery was either instant gratification or instant failure. Score one for the good guys.
